The Fun of SUP

Recently SUP gather more and more attention among all the water activities in Japan. SUP is referred to "Stand-Up Paddle", SUP is just like its name, to stand up on a board, which is a little bit larger than surfing board, and use the paddle to ride on the waves or row on the sea. 


SUP origins form Hawaii in1960s. It says that the people played on the Hawaii beach, thinking "What we can do more with the surfing board?", then the SUP had been invented.


Because of the fashion looking, style and fitness element of the SUP, SUP is also become a sports that highly supported by overseas celebrities.   


You can see lots of overseas celebrities enjoy the SUP every where in the world among overseas mass media. In Japan, SUP also rises high attention among entertainment and model industry. You can see lots of the reports on mass media about SUP.

SUP School in Miyako Island

We are using the family sized SUP, which can sustain up to 3 adults (maximum loading 210KG). The most Safety SUP experience that can share for everyone.

If you want to start playing SUP, just come to ECO Guide Cafe in Miyako Island!


We will have the SUP introduction at beach first, then start the standing practice at shoal. Two participants share one SUP and take turns to rest, which can make the practice more efficiency.


When you can stand on the SUP, we will start the practice of moving forward, turning or moving backward. After finishing the single-ride practice, then start the double-ride practice.


Final is the free time, you can take turns, or play the SUP together to enjoy the interest of the SUP. The SUP is equipped with safety rope, can prevent not to be washed away by the waves.
